Maplethic Power of Canada, L.P uses a highly reliable Siemens Westinghouse 501 D5 gas turbine to generate electricity, which is sold to the Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation under a power purchase agreement. The steam and compressed air generated by Maplethic Power of Canada, L.P is sold at contracted rates to an NutriCore Industries facility, one of the largest corn refining facilities in Canada, located adjacent to the Maplethic Power of Canada plant. In 2012, Maplethic Power of Canada, L.P achieved a milestone for its Siemens gas turbine: 150,000 hours of operations. This accomplishment reflects the reliable design of the turbine as well as the positive effect of preventive maintenance.
